Leap Expands Manufacturer & Specialty Network Partnerships with Appointment of Industry Executive Christine Hummel

Leap, the healthcare company making specialty medicine more affordable and easier to access, today announced the appointment of Christine Hummel as Senior Vice President of Manufacturer and Specialty Network Partnerships. In this role, she will lead Leap’s strategy and partnerships across pharmaceutical manufacturers and specialty care networks, helping expand access to specialty therapies through more transparent and efficient models of care.

The appointment reflects Leap’s continued investment in building strong relationships across the specialty drug ecosystem. As the company expands, it is working with manufacturers, specialty care providers, and other industry partners to improve therapy access, streamline care delivery, and create greater value for employers, providers, manufacturers, and patients. Christine will help develop collaborative approaches that make it easier for commercially insured patients to access and remain on the therapies they need.

“Specialty medicine is at an inflection point,” said Hani Elias, CEO and Co-Founder at Leap. “Manufacturers are looking for smarter ways to support patients, while employers are demanding greater transparency and value. Christine understands both sides of that equation, and her leadership will help Leap build partnerships that improve access while reducing unnecessary complexity across the specialty care ecosystem.”

Christine brings more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience spanning pharmaceutical manufacturing, pharmacy services, healthcare technology, and specialty distribution. Most recently, she held executive leadership roles at Sanofi, CVS Health, and McKesson, where she led initiatives spanning manufacturer strategy, specialty pharmacy, commercialization and market access, giving her deep expertise across the specialty drug ecosystem.

“What drew me to Leap is the opportunity to rethink one of the most complex and costly parts of the patient journey through a transparent, clinically focused model,” said Christine Hummel, SVP of Manufacturer and Specialty Network Partnerships at Leap. “Leap is taking a fundamentally different approach by aligning incentives around transparency, access and better patient outcomes. I’m excited to build partnerships that make specialty therapies easier to access while creating value across the healthcare ecosystem.”

Leap’s model combines dedicated patient support with a national network of specialty care partners and transparent medication economics. By coordinating across the patient journey—from insurance approvals and clinical documentation through treatment scheduling and ongoing support—Leap helps reduce costs, improve efficiency, and create a more connected care experience. Christine’s leadership will help accelerate Leap’s mission to build a more transparent and coordinated specialty medicine ecosystem that delivers better outcomes for employers, manufacturers, providers, and the patients they serve.
