ONTARIO , CA, UNITED STATES, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Total Cost Involved Engineering (TCI), with over 50 years of chassis design excellence, has introduced a 4×4 chassis as a direct replacement for the 1967-1972 Ford F-100 with the company’s new ‘Honeycomb’ style insert frame rails.
The Honeycomb rails are boxed and include an added 3’ long mesh insert down the middle of the frame rails for additional torsional rigidity. The front half of the frame is widened to provide additional steering and header clearance. The new chassis design is based around the late-model Ford engine/trans platforms with a driver-side output Atlas transfer case.
Working closely with partners, Currie Enterprises and RockJock, TCI designed the front and rear 4-link suspensions to be strong, yet multi-functional. Maximized-length link bars provide minimal wheelbase change throughout travel and have the added benefit of limiting roll steer. Coil-over angle has been kept close to vertical to keep motion ratio close to 1:1 while keeping the mounts as wide as possible for maximum roll control.
The included Borgeson steering box is a direct replacement for 1966-1977 Broncos. RockJock high steer forged knuckles, forged outer tie rods, and 5-lug (8-lug optional) unit-bearing hubs are all based on the Jeep JL (2018-present) platform. Currie high-pinion 44 (front) & Currie high-pinion 60 (rear) complete axles come standard. The chassis is sold with all cab, bed core support, engine, transmission, and bumper brackets included.
Optional Currie “Extreme 60” one-ton axles are available for customers who expect the ultimate in performance and durability. The custom Currie housings are designed to provide superior bearing lubrication for sustained highway miles or steep inclines. Standard equipment includes 4.56 gears, Tru-Trac Posi, 68” wheel mounting surface width, and 1350 yokes, full floater rears, and lockers.
